Ms. Thabet holds more than 35 years of business experience namely in asset management, private equity, mergers, acquisitions and financing transactions, and the management and repositioning of technological and industrial companies with Celtis Capital, AT Capital, SGF and Price Waterhouse (PwC).

Ms. Thabet is currently a member of the board of directors of Transcontinental (TSX-TCL), Russel Metals (TSX-RUS), Heroux-Devtek (TSX-HRX), Manac, and a member of advisory committees of private businesses. Her past experiences include member of the board of The Jean Coutu Group, Chair of the board of the Institute of Corporate Directors – Québec, Chair of the Sherbrooke University Business School Board of Governors and Chair of Reseau Capital, the Quebec private equity association.

Chartered professional accountant, she holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Sherbrooke University, a Master degree in Business Administration from Concordia University and is an Institute-certified Director from the Institute of Corporate Directors.
