Paule Doré is currently a Coporate Director. Former Special Advisor to Serge Godin, Founder and Executive Chairman. In this role, Paule contributes strategic support to the company’s management team on initiatives leading to value creation for CGI. Paule is also a member of the CGI Board of Directors, which she joined in 1995.
Paule joined CGI in 1990 and was Executive Vice-President and Chief Corporate Officer until October 2006. As a member of CGI’s executive team, she led the development and evolution of human resources and leadership development, internal and external communications, investor relations, quality and corporate governance.
Paule’s career began in 1973 as a journalist for the French television network of the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation in Toronto and Montreal. From 1980 to 1990, she held various management positions within both the private and non-profit sectors. She was the executive director of the Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal prior to joining CGI in 1990.
For over 20 years, Paule has been committed to the volunteer sector. Among other roles, she was chair of the Board of the Société d’Habitation et Développement de Montréal (SHDM) from 1988 to 1992, president of the Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal in 1997, chair of the board of the Montreal Design Institute from 1999 to 2002 and chair of the Montreal YWCA Foundation from 2003 to 2005. She has presided over numerous fund-raising events for charitable organizations in Quebec and in Ontario. She currently chairs the $35 million dollar fund-raising campaign for the Sacré-Coeur Hospital Foundation in Montreal. She sits on the board of directors of CGI, AXA Canada, and the Montreal Sacré-Coeur Hospital Foundation. In October 2004, she was awarded an honoris causa Doctor of Philosophy degree from the Dominican University College in Ottawa, Ontario.
