
Maryse Bertrand

Ms. Bertrand is the Chair of the Board of Directors of PSP Investments and of the Board of Governors of McGill University. She is also a member of the Board of Directors of Metro, Canam Group and a past member of the Board of Directors of the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD) and the past Chair of its Quebec Chapter.
During her long career in law and business, Ms Bertrand sat on the boards of directors of ten public and privately-held corporations including National Bank of Canada, Gildan Activewear and La Caisse. Prior to launching her board career, Ms Bertrand joined CBC/Radio-Canada in 2009 as a senior executive, after more than two decades as a partner of Davies Ward Philips & Vineberg LLP, where she specialized in mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance.
She also served on the firm’s National Management Committee. She was named as Advocatus emeritus (Ad. E.) in 2007 by the Québec Bar in recognition for her exceptional contribution to the legal profession. Ms. Bertrand holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Law (B.C.L.) with great distinction from McGill University and a Master’s in Risk Management from New York University (Stern School of Business).
