Jean Houde

Since 2022, Jean Houde has been Chairman of the Board of Université Laval. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Institut du Québec and Chairman of the Board of the Fondation des Violons du Roy since 2020. Jean Houde has been appointed as member of the Board of Directors of National Bank of Canada in 2011 and he was named Chairman of the Board from 2014 to 2023. He was a member of the Board of Directors and of the Audit Committee of the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts from 2019 to 2021. He was Chairman of the Board of Energir Inc. from 2011 to 2020. From 2010 to 2014, he was Chairman of the Board of Finance Montréal. From 2005 to 2009, he was Deputy Minister of Finance of Quebec.
Prior to that, he served as Chairman of the Board and CEO of Investissement Québec. From 1990 to 2003, Jean Houde held various positions at the Bank, including Senior Vice‐President, Branch Network. He holds a law degree and an MBA from Université Laval. He was awarded an honorary doctorate by the Université du Québec. Jean Houde is a member of the Quebec Bar Association, which awarded him the distinction of Advocatus Emeritus. Also, he is a member of the Order of Canada and a Fellow of the Institute of Corporate Directors.
